Scrub Cycles is where you will sign on for the event, and is a well stocked local bike shop and Santa Cruz dealer.

Rothbury is renowned as an outdoor village, sitting on the edge of the Northumberland National Park. It also has a council built and maintained bike track in the village, suitable for people and kids aged 2+, a play park and stunning riverside walks. The National Trust’s Cragside Is a few hundred metres outside the village and is a truly magical place.

Rothbury could be the Gravel riding scenes hidden gem. The Carriage Drive above Rothbury, formerly the way into Cragside, is a wonderful, short gravel ride. If you want to go further, you can easily make a day and ride through Harwood to Wallington Hall. If big, wild spaces are you thing, why not try the Slymefoot Trail, which starts in Rothbury.
